This is God’s ultimate plan for your life. You were made to love God, glorify him, and make a positive impact on other people’s lives with the gifts he has given you. At Transformation we hope to connect every person to an opportunity to engage and make an impact in the city of Trenton and the world around them by serving others. To learn more on how you can use your gifts to make an impact, we want to connect you to our Outreach Team leaders who organize all service efforts in the city.
You were made by God on purpose and for a purpose! This means you are an important part of God’s plan, and your life will never fully make sense until you discover your purpose. At Transformation Church we want to help you take next steps on your journey with Jesus by helping you identify your talents and God given gifts. We do this through our 4 E’s Breakfast where we will share the vision and purpose of Transformation and offer tools to help you learn the unique ways God has designed you for his purposes.
We believe that it’s impossible for you to have a faith encounter with God and not be changed! God’s process for you to experience transformation and freedom starts with growing you in two directions: UP in your relationship with him and IN, through your relationship with others. He designed us for community, and connecting in Life-Groups is how authentic and life-changing relationships are built at Transformation Church.
More than just practicing religion, the God of the universe wants to encounter you through a personal faith relationship! Sunday services are where we help people encounter God, and it is our prayer that you would encounter God in everything from the smiles that greet you at the door, to the songs we sing together, and the life-giving message that is preached! We call this the Gospel thru smiles, songs, sermon, sacrament, and sharing life together! In all things, our service is designed to help you have a faith encounter with the God of the bible!
We believe that God Transformed our hopeless state into victory by faith in His sacrifice and that message is at the center of all we do.
We believe that God is Transforming us into His image through His Word and authentic relationships.
We believe that God is Transforming us to reflect His family and He starts in our home and progresses into our community.
We believe that God is Transforming our entire life by sharing and living out biblical principles.
We believe that Transformation takes place in an existing culture, so the Bible will dictate our message and the context will dictate our method.
I. THE WORD OF GOD
We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the
inspired Word of God, inerrant in the original writings, complete as the
revelation of God's will for salvation, and the supreme and final authority in
all matters to which they speak.
Mark 12:26, 36; 13:11; Luke 24:27, 44; John 5:39; Acts 1:16; 17:2–3; 18:28; 26:22–23; 28:23; Rom. 15:4; 1 Cor. 2:13; 10:11; 2 Tim. 3:16; 2 Pet. 1:21
II. THE TRINITY
We believe in one God, creator and sustainer of all things,
eternally existing in three persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; that these
are equal in every divine perfection and that they execute distinct by
harmonious offices in the work of creation, providence, and redemption.
Matt. 28:18–19; Mark 12:29; John 1:14; Acts 5:3–4; 2 Cor. 13:14; Heb. 1:1–3; Rev. 1:4–6
III. GOD THE FATHER
We believe in God the Father, an infinite, personal Spirit,
perfect in holiness, wisdom, power, and love. We believe He concerns Himself
mercifully in the affairs of men, that He hears and answers prayer, and that He
saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus Christ.
(John 4:24; 1 Timothy
2:5)
IV. JESUS CHRIST
We
believe that Jesus Christ is God's eternal Son, and has precisely the same
nature, attributes and perfections as God the Father and God the Holy Spirit.
We believe further that He is not only true God, but true man, conceived by the
Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. We also believe in His sinless life,
His substitutionary atonement, His bodily resurrection from the dead, His
ascension into heaven, His priestly intercession on behalf of His people, and He will personally return
and set up His Kingdom wherein He will rule and reign in righteousness.
Luke 1:30–35; John 1:18; 3:16; Heb. 4:15
V. HOLY SPIRIT
We
believe in the Holy Spirit, His personality, and His work in regeneration,
sanctification, and preservation. His ministry is to glorify the Lord Jesus
Christ, and implement Christ's word of redeeming the lost and empowering the
believer for godly living and service. All who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ are born
again of the Holy Spirit, and thereby become children of God.
John 14:16–17; 16:7–15; 1 Cor. 6:19; Eph. 2:22; 2 Thess. 2:7
VI. MAN
We believe God created man, male and female, in the image of God free from sin. We further believe man is a sinner by nature and choice and thereby incurred not only physical death but also that spiritual death which is separation from God. We also believe that those who repent of sin and trust Jesus Christ as Savior are regenerated by the Holy Spirit.
Gen. 1:26; 2:17; 6:5; Pss. 14:1–3; 51:5; Jer. 17:9; John 3:6; 5:40; 6:35; Rom. 3:10–19; 8:6–7; Eph. 2:1–3; 1 Tim. 5:6; 1 John 3:8
VII. SALVATION
We believe in salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. We further believe that this salvation is based upon the sovereign grace of God, and was purchased by Christ shed blood on the cross, and is received by man through faith, apart from any human merit, works, or ritual. We further believe salvation results in righteous living, good works, and proper social concern.
Matt. 26:28; John 3:7–18; Rom. 5:6–9; 2 Cor. 5:21; Gal. 3:13; 6:15; Eph. 1:7; Phil. 3:4–9; Titus 3:5; James 1:18; 1 Pet. 1:18–19, 23; John 1:12; 3:16, 18, 36; 5:24; 6:29; Acts 13:39; 16:31; Rom. 1:16–17; 3:22, 26; 4:5; 10:4; Gal. 3:22
VIII. THE CHURCH
We believe that the church is the spiritual body of which Christ is the head. We believe that the true Church is composed of all persons who through saving faith in Jesus Christ have been regenerated by the Holy Spirit. We believe that this body expresses itself in local assemblies for worship, for instruction, for evangelism and for service. We believe the ordinances of the local church are the believer's baptism by immersion and the Lord's Supper. We also believe in the interdependence of local churches and the mutual submission of believers to each other in love.
Matt. 16:16–18; Acts 2:42–47; Rom. 12:5; 1 Cor. 12:12–27; Eph. 1:20–23; 4:3–10; Col. 3:14–15
IX. LAST THINGS
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and lost, the eternal existence of all men either in heaven or hell, in divine judgments, rewards, and punishments.
Luke 16:19–26; 23:42; 2 Cor. 5:8; Phil. 1:23; 2 Thess. 1:7–9; Jude 6–7; Rev. 20:11–15
